In today's turbulent economic environment, college students across the nation find themselves asking the same question as they approach graduation: "How in the world am I going to get a job?" The Center for Career Development at the University of Evansville helps answer that question by working one-on-one with students from the time they arrive on campus to discover their career goals and help achieve them. Whether you're an undergraduate seeking an internship for course credit, a prospective graduate student hoping to bolster your chances for admission to your program of choice, or a pending graduate looking to take your first step into the workplace, the Center for Career Development will help make sure your first steps out of UE and into the workplace are successful. A recent survey of University of Evansville alumni between 2000 and 2010 found that more than 96 percent of those graduates were employed at the time. A survey of the Class of 2011, which was taken just before their Commencement ceremony in May, found that 60 percent either had a job waiting for them upon graduation, or had been accepted into graduate school in their chosen field. Those UE graduates found jobs everywhere from The Department of Homeland Security to the New York Film Academy; from the Houston Symphony to the Arizona Heart Institute. Graduate students attended colleges like Brown University, Duke University, Emory University, and Harvard University.
